The Village of Oswego’s retro drive-in movie experience is back. Join us Thursday, July 30, for a socially distanced outdoor movie experience featuring Free Willy. For just $5 per vehicle, (plus applicable online ticketing fee), watch a classic tale of friendship and freedom at the Oswego Park N Ride lot on Station Drive, and get a complimentary bag of popcorn from The Popcorn Store and a $5.00 Gift Certificate from La Yummy Michoacana, (4530 Route 71 Oswego, IL). Gates open at 7:30 p.m. and the movie begins at dark, approximately 9 p.m. There are 50 spaces available for this event, and registration is open to Oswego residents on a first-come, first-served basis. Photo ID proving Oswego residency will be required at check-in. Only buy a ticket for your vehicle, not the number of guests attending. Make space for the neighbors – one vehicle only per household, please. To ensure the best viewing experience for everyone, vehicles will be assigned parking based on vehicle size and whether or not the back hatch will remain open during the movie.
Hungry? Attendees will get a bag of popcorn from Oswego’s own The Popcorn Store and a $5.00 Gift Certificate from La Yummy Michoacana included in the cost of admission. Need more? Order in advance from one of Oswego’s many restaurants. Restaurants located immediately adjacent to the Park N’ Ride lot offering curbside pick-up include: Steve Buresh’s Cheesecake Shop, Prohibition Junction, New China Hut, Chicago Pizza Authority, McDonald’s and Taco Bell. Call ahead to check restaurant hours. Patrons are welcome to bring in their own food and beverages. Alcoholic beverages are not permitted.
