Trees are budding. Flowers are blooming. And with more than 40 miles of trails groomed for running, cycling and more, it’s easy to get out and enjoy all that spring has to offer on trails throughout Oswego!
Run
The Oswegoland Park District maintains several trails with a complete printable map and trail guide so all you have to do is lace up and go.
If you need a little more structure and goals, join a group like the Fox Valley RunJunkKes, who meet up throughout the week for group runs in Oswego and Yorkville, or train for one of several races throughout the summer on our events calendar.
Cycle
Want to cover more ground? Hop on a bike. Saw Wee Kee Park has a 5.8-mile out-and-back unpaved mountain biking trail with scenic views for experienced and adventurous mountain bikers.
You can gear up with everything you need to get riding at the independent Oswego Cyclery, 59 S. Main Street.
Segway
Are you feeling less ambitious and just want to take in the scenery? Stop by Oswego Extreme, just next door at 57 Main Street, and book a Segway tour of the Fox River Trail. Your guide will show you through the scenic river valley along historic rail lines for a taste of both downtown charm and the wonder of our nature preserves.
Whatever route you take, be sure to map your run or ride, and show off how you #GoOswego!
